The Promise

Let the delay in the promise propel you to pray. Over the last few weeks, I have been feeling somewhat frustrated. You see we often hear the phrase delay is not denial, and I have been one to use it myself. But what happens when the wait moves from days, to weeks, to months to years? How do you maintain the hope and faith to continue to wait for your promise? Many will say keep busy, don’t allow the enemy scope to enter your thoughts, but you see, you can only remain busy for so long. You will have to stop, and when you do the resounding thoughts of, where’s my promise? may well return. I don’t have a definitive answer, but I must hold on to the hope, that my Father in heaven is not playing a cat and mouse game with me or a game of hide and seek. I must continue to exercise hope. The personal promises God has for me, I must allow to propel me to a place of prayer, praise, patience, and perseverance, knowing that no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly before Him.

So, my takeaway is; I may not know the time when my wait will be over, but I still must trust and believe, standing on God’s word.

Thank you for letting the Father speak through you.

This is so timely for me. I have been praying and asking God where I need to grow to be ready for the promise, because He won’t give it to me until I am ready to handle it.
